Staff Requirements

  • Along with yearly mandatory education on HIPPA and workplace safety, we also require the following of our staff:
  • Current, unrestricted State Nursing License
  • At least 3 years of experience in the specialty area they are applying to work in
  • BLS & ACLS (all areas), PALS/ENPC (for ER or PICU), TNCC (for ER), and NALS/ NRP (for OB).
    National Criminal and SOR Check , HHS exclusion list checks and Social Security Verification for each employee
  • Pre-employment Drug Screen
  • Yearly IPPD
  • Completed skills checklist for self-assessment competency level
  • Unit competency and medication administration testing
  • Recommend completing the CEN or CCRN certification
  • Copies of immunizations/titers as required by each individual facility

Professional Liability Coverage
Our staff members are covered under Elite Specialty Staffing's professional liability coverage administered through Healthcare Providers Service Organization. Professional liability limits as outlined by contract.

Staffing Availability
We provide staff for day-to-day per diem shifts and full or part-time contracts of varying length, based on facility request.

Setting-up staffing with the agency on an ongoing basis
Facilities may email or phone requests for specific staffing needs. We will check for availability then fax a copy of the nurse's profile to the facility that includes all the required copies, licensure, and certification materials. The facility may set-up an phone or face-to-face interview with the available candidate. Then the facility confirms acceptance of the coverage either by phone or email with the agency. We provide 24-hour phone availability.
